About This Blog

What’s the point of this blog? Education fueled by curiosity. I started this blog because I’ve become tired of hearing peoples’ names and not knowing what the life behind the name was. I’ve also become tired of being on the receiving end of the incredulous exclamation that inevitably follows: “how don’t you know who so and so is? Have you been living under a rock for the past 20 years?”

With this pet peeve on the forefront of my mind, I set out to learn about famous people today and from the past, one a day. I chose to make this into a blog project partly to keep me motivated and partly because I figured that at least a few of the other 7 billion + people out there might want to learn along, too. So feel free to follow along, read up and learn up.
